Our mount kits make it a cinch to take your panniers on and off your Happy Trails Point1 design SU rack. Note that your SU rack is a Point1 design if it has a pressed insert for the upper mounts.

The kit contains 2 pucks for each pannier (total of 4). The pucks are permanently attached with hex head bolts to the bottom of the panniers, and hold the shear weight of the pannier. The upper two mounts on each pannier are secured via a plastic knob (3/8" bolt) turned into a threaded insert on the SU rack. Large washers on the inside of the pannier spread the load.

MK750.1 mounts cases to Happy-Trail Point1 SU racks with 3/4" (.750" or 19.05 mm) tubing.

MK625.1 mounts cases to Happy-Trail Point1 SU racks built with 5/8" (.625" or 15.875 mm) tubing (5/8" tubing applies only to BMW Oilheads: R11xxGS; R1200GS)

Note: Our puck system now employs hex head bolts instead of allen head's because customers reported issues with the head being stripped.

All Happy Trails products are crafted in Boise, Idaho

  • I have the KTM_Powerpart pannier rack (tubular frame all around). 2016 KTM 690 Enduro R. Is there a way to fit these brackets to my Pelican Air 1555 Case to the rack?I noticed that the bracket was designed for a square frame. Do you have any other options or recommendations on how to make them work?
Question by: Abner on 2016-07-30 21:25:00

You will need to determine the OD of your tube; it could be .625", .710' or .750".

One you have done that the Universal Mount Kit is what you would need. I would also suggest including the SWM option. Read these instructions to give you  better idea on how to use the mount kit.

The kit works on round or square tubing.
