There are places to attach bungee cords or mounting straps so you no longer have to scratch your bike’s fender as you secure your cargo

If aftermarket seat is not Saddlemen or Lucky Daves step ups, then look carefully at the measurements of the opening to ensure the rack will fit around your bike’s seat.
