Happy Trails Tail Plate System KTM 690 Enduro R

The KTM 690 is a truly fantastic adventure bike but it's not without some quirks. For example, the fuel fill port is located at the rear of the seat, exactly where many riders would like a tail rack or plate for carrying additional gear.

We've designed our KTM 690 Tail Plate System to give access to the fuel fill port even when using a tail plate. The innovative hinged design gives complete access to the fuel fill port without removing straps, tail bags or top boxes.

Top Box Note: Heath sez: "Mounting a tailbox (GIVI, etc) is possible but not recommended. Our tail rack does not offer any additional strength for the rear of the bike. The bushings that contact the tank at the bottom mounting point tend to wear out when the rear end of the KTM690 is loaded heavily, so we don't recommend running more weight than suggested by the manufacturer. KTM limits rear loads to 5kg/11lbs so with the top rack and a case you're going to be close to the weight limit. It also would be a good idea to regularly check for wear on the tank bushings by lifting the rear end of the bike and looking for play."

This plate is not designed to carry any fuel containers.
