BMW R1200/1250GS/GSW Nerf Impact Plates

Our Happy Trails cylinder head protection plates are the perfect complement to our Nerf bars. Not only do they just plain look cool with the engraved GS and HTP graphics, but they also serve important protection functions.

While our Nerf bars provide great security against most tip over situations, the valve covers are still vulnerable when the bike is dropped and a just-the-right-size tree branch or sharp rock breaches the center of our Nerf protection loop. Although rare, such encounters do increase significantly when riding through stream beds where those 3 inch softball size plus and plus 4 inch rocks seem to accumulate; or on trails where small saplings have been cut down to make room for the trail. And coincidentally, these same areas are where most riders seem to tip over!!!

Our protection plates completely protect the valve covers from such ride-ending tip-over hazards. They also provide a sturdy protective "sliding" surface in the event of a minor pavement mishap -- similar to the function of frame sliders on sport bikes. And they can easily be replaced, if severely scratched, to preserve the good looks of your bike. Compatible only with Happy Trails Nerf bars for the R1200GS (both oil head and new water versions).
