Originally offered to Japanese consumers in 1997, the Kawasaki Sherpa made its debut outside of the country a couple of years later. Kawasaki created a series of special model numbers to indicate which country they intended to sell an individual motorcycle in. Sherpa bikes that are classified under the KL250G model number were exclusively sold in the United States from 1999 to 2003. These featured a cradle frame and a hybrid air and oil coolant system for the four-stroke single-cylinder engine. Bikes that carry the KL250H name were sold in Canada, Australia, Greece and the UK as well as in Japan. These have a 249cc double overhead camshaft engine that produces a surprising amount of power for the size. Browse our Kawasaki Sherpa gear and accessories below, or choose a category on the left.
