Building on the success of our KLR650 centerstands, Happy Trails is pleased to introduce a centerstand for another of our favorite adventure bikes, the V-Strom 650 (DL650). Thanks to a well thought-out geometry and non-slip tread, it is very easy to place the motorcycle safely on its stand in all situations: for chain maintenance, for fuel filling, for baggage transport or for winter storage.
Our centerstand is:

Footkick is reinforced by a gusset .
Unlike most centerstands that utilize rubber exhaust mounts or suspension components to extend and retract, Happy Trails centerstands are uniquely engineered to extend and retract using it's own built in stops, this allows fitment for many years of particular models.
It is finished to a perfect fit and easy to install. All Happy Trails centerstands are powder coated for a long lasting life. The stand comes complete with all hardware required for a perfect fit.
Ground Clearance Note: Installation of the centerstand reduces overall ground clearance by about 1.5" unless you have a skid plate (which already reduces clearance by about that same amount). However, the foot kick is tight and close to the swingarm so cornering clearance isn't reduced. Riders will hit their pegs or panniers before contacting the centerstand.
V-Strom 1000 Note: this product is not compatible with the V-Strom 1000 and we are not planning on making a stand for that unit.
Lowered bikes: The centerstand will not work on lowered V-Strom 650's.
Compatibility:
- DL650XT Adventure: The centerstand is compatible with the DL650XT Adventure and the Touratech skid plate.
- Happy Trails Skid Plate and center-stand are compatible
- 2012 + : Full Yoshimira exhaust system will not work with centerstand.
Important Installation Note: It is essential that the customer read the instructions carefully and follow them precisely for a successful installation. This is especially true for the positioning of the spacers. Without proper installation customers have complained of over-rotating and leaning. Following the instructions assures a great fit for a great product.

Does ur center stand fit a 2016 DL650. I ask because up to 2011 the stopper when the stand is up is built into the exhaust in the form of a U shape brakect welded to the exhaust with a rubber pad for noise. In 2012 that bracket on the exhaust is no longer there , is now on the left side of the bike mounted on to the center stand mounting bolts. Thank u. We can't review every skid plate to make sure they are comapatible. The best suggestion I have is to review our instructions and make a dtermination. If you do buy and there is an issue we will refunded the full purchace price.

We did not intend the center stand to be something that someone would jump on the bike, dump clutch and launch off of the cneter stand.
So for safety sake we put the disclaimer on to ensure the side stand is nested correctly and a safe start would be accomplished.

We have done a lowered stand for the KLR and it was quite complex to do. We quit offering it for the KLR for anything over an inch due to dragging issues.
We would not be able to simply lower the stand.

We make our stand here in Boise Idaho so we can control the tolerances. All the other stands are imported so they can't make the changes needed.
