The 465 Series Progressive Shockrepresents state of the art high pressure gas monotube shock design. It utilizes a large 46mm bore and deflective disc piston for precise damping. The beefy 16mm hard chrome shaft rides on custom viton seals for low friction and leak free life. This 465 is custom tuned for the KLR650 from the damping and spring rate all the way down to the jounce bumper.

You are on the right track. I would suggest the 1' Lowered option. When you sart using lowering links the geometry changes and it makes the rider weight heavier. If you are riding a lot with a passenger you might consider the RAP (Remote Adjustable Preload) version. This allows you crank in or take out preload by turning the knob. This is what I have on my 88 KLR.
If needed you can go to a lowering link but I would suggest the Corbin Dual Platform seat.
This is also my choice for the KLR
I am 5'9" with a 30" inseam and I run the Progressive RAP in the standard length.
