The SU (Structurally Unique) Rack is designed for use with soft or fixed luggage of any type. Perfect for mounting aluminum panniers, GIVI luggage, Pelican cases or any luggage you choose.
The Bonneville SU rack has our new Point1 pressed insert design and welded in Inner Tool Rack mount plate. This design makes it very quick and easy to mount and remove panniers from the bike but also provides very secure attachment to the bike. Our quick change pannier system gives owners options when planning their ride. Riders may prefer large capacity hard luggage for longer multi-day trips, but then want to switch to smaller soft bags for their daily commute to the office. Or simply remove the luggage when there is no need to carry extra items. Our unique mounting system allows such switches to be made in only a minute or two.
Benefits of the SU Plate Mounting System:
HTP exclusive and thoroughly tested 4th generation side rack design
Unique Point1 mounting system for fast installation or removal of your panniers
Strong 5/8" round tubing for the arms and 3/4" square tubing for SU loop
Bumper support between the two side racks adds strength, stability and protection
Racks improve the structural integrity of the rear sub-frame adding protection for the bike in case of tipovers.
Bike specific rack means no compromise as with universal type racks. Each and every rack is fabricated by our expert craftsmen to take advantage of the existing structural points and design of the individual bike.
Unmatched strength. No one makes a stronger rack and no one offers a better warranty. Our racks are built to take it ... anywhere ... anytime ... in any conditions. True adventure touring racks. When your trip depends on it accept no substitute.

I have a 2014 Bonneville SE with a Renntec Rack on the rear. Not sur if your SU rack would fit with this on. If not, do you have other upper (over rear fender) racks that will fit with your SU (side) racks. I am trying to carry my fuel and water on the side of my bike to lower the centre of gravity. Thanks
The Triumph Bonneville & Scrambler models are considered a "RETRO" style Bike. Triumph has a great market by offering vintage and modern-style items blended on a bike that gives a classic yet modern feel to the bike. With that said the rear frame design is in the "classic" category featuring the twin shocks. The addition of a top rack creates a cantilevered effect that will create stresses that are not structurally favorable for the bike. Happy Trails built several top racks designed to fit with our SU Racks and we came to the conclusion that a top rack put undo stress on the chassis. We feel the SU rack strengthens the rear frame allowing for the use of the SU rack. We do not feel the use of any top rack is permissible under any circumstance.
The Happy Trails SU Rack allows for a rider to carry his gear and not compromise the structure of the chassis or more important adversely effect the handling by adding to much weight to the rear of the bike.
With the Happy Trails SU Racks and the SU Rack Inner Utility/Tool/Carrier System you can have all your tools and spares on the inside of the pannier rack. With the Aluminum Pannier Kit TETON Triumph Bonneville and add Bottle/Container Holder for Panniers for your Fuel or water needs.
The SU rack enhances the integrity of the bike allowing for luggage to be carried in a safe manner.
