The R80 GS and its successor, the R100 GS, quickly become successful achievers in the BMW range. In particular, “serious” motorcyclists the world over prefer BMW’s enduro machines not just when riding in the desert but also when covering long distances. And as a new symbol of the brand, the single swinging arm is soon to be found also on other BMW machines.

Note about our panniers and the stock rack:

Our Panniers will fit the factory mounts. It's important to note that the factory mounts are brazed together and not as heavy duty as our SU rack.  Also note that we do not warranty any pannier not mounted on a Happy Trails SU rack. This is because we need a flat surface and the factory racks can be tweaked and cause a stress in the pannier. However... all of this said, we have had excellent success with the factory rack. You will need to order our mount kit for the tube size of the factory rack.

Note about our panniers and our SU Rack:

This bike is has an asymmetrical SU Rack (SU stands for Happy-Trails’ "Something Unique" rack) design. By mounting a 7.5” pannier on the exhaust side and a 9” pannier on the other side the outside of the panniers is fairly even on center line measurement. If you choose a different size pannier than the 7.5” just move to next larger pannier on the other side. For instance a 9” would match with a 10.5” pannier.
