Happy Trails' first highway peg was introduced in early 1991 for the KLR. Immensely popular it is now in its third generation of design.

Solid and well built, the highway pegs give the rider many more choices in riding positions and this means greater comfort mile after mile.

A bonus with these pegs is protection for the engine side cases. This comes from both the one inch steel base tube and the loop of three-quarter inch tubular steel. The addition of the expanded metal keeps the small sharp rocks from cutting away at the water hoses and electrical wires... also an added benefit.

The design offers protection from a front-on collision with roosted rocks. Unlike other engine guards that transfer the impact to the engine case (with the risk of breaking it) the EG-3 is built to take the punishment.

The EG-3 is as light as possible, yet still has the strength that KLR riders need.
