PD Nerf
For the ultimate in
KLR650 protection, select our exclusive PD (Paris Dakar) Nerf Design. Loops of
5/8 inch tubular steel protect the expensive fuel tank and shrouds on your bike.
Included in the package is our exclusive third generation engine guard/highway
peg combination (EG-3). The EG-3's one inch steel base tube adds additional
support and provides highway pegs which give the rider many more choices in
riding positions—this means greater rider comfort mile after mile. A bonus of
the highway pegs is protection for the engine side cases. The highway pegs
easily fold-up when not in use. Please pay special attention to the
following notes:

the PD Nerf/EG-3
package cannot be run with our radiator/reservoir guard system

the EG-3
combination is not compatible with the stock plastic skid plate. The stock
plate must be set aside when installing. For this reason and to maximum
your protection package you may wish to select our custom skid plate in
either black anodized or bright anodized aluminum.

if you already
have the EG-3 (identifiable by the round spud used to bolt the uppers as
shown in the picture) you can order just the PD-Nerf side protectors.

PD-Nerf uppers is 7 lbs, weight of the EG-3 engine guard/highway peg combo is

NOTE!!!!
The basic KLR650 skid
plate design for all years is the same. The 2008 > model years require
additional parts (triangular motor mount plates and a spacer block). Our
hardware kit includes all necessary hardware for the plate to be mounted on any
KLR650. If you have an '08 and later KLR you will use all of the hardware
included. If you have an '07 and prior bike you will not use the triangular
motor mount plates or the spacer block.
