This Owyhee Pannier Kit for your KTM640 Adv-R includes everything you need for a great luggage system.The kit includes:

  • Two Owyhee Panniers
  • SU Rack System

  • Mounting hardware

The 640 Adventure R SU rack has our new Point1 pressed insert design. This adds to the ease and functionality you’ve come to expect from our pannier systems. Details HERE.

Note: Our pannier kits are not compatible with the SW MOTECH bolt-on side stand without modification. The bike is tall so the sidestand needs to be long. When retracted, the sidestand contacts the bottom of the pannier. It might be possible to place a weld onto the return stop of the side stand, thus not allowing the side stand to return as far as contacting the pannier. We have not tried this nor can we vouch for it being a reasonable modification.
 

Pannier kit does not include a tail rack.

Comparing our panniers? Here's an easy formula. Owyhee Panniers are 2" less in length and 1" smaller in height than our Teton series. Construction of the two systems is identical. Owyhee panniers are priced higher because they cost more to make; our Teton series is produced in greater volume which brings the cost down.

Your pannier kit includes: Free powder coating, Free premount and Free lid locks, a value of $166. Make your selections below.


Powder Coat: We recommend powder coat painting to protect your cargo from the black residue produced by unfinished aluminum. It also gives your pannier a quality, finished look.

Pre-mount: We will drill the four holes for the pannier puck mount system in Happy Trails' "neutral" mounting position, suitable for solo or two-up riding (rider and passenger). Note that if you select "no pre-mount" your panniers will be a special order and will take about two weeks longer.

Matched Key Lid Locks allow you to have a single key for aluminum panniers and/or aluminum tailbox (any number of boxes) as long as they are ordered at the same time. Does not replace cam latches, which provide the dust and water proof seal that makes our boxes famous. See photo.

Note: The bags are 2" longer than Owyhee panniers, but snug in nicely. Available in 7.5" and 9" widths. If you add Bag-It! to a 6" pannier order you will be sent 7.5" bags... they snug in just fine.
