if you want the best in stainless lines, rotors, and pads. Galfer brake pads are
produced in a variety of compounds designed to provide an ideal braking
experience for every rider in every condition.
Galfer pads feature
stress released backing plates to assure perfect flatness and less tendency to
warp/age under hard braking conditions. Consider the following features and
benefits of Galfer's compounds in making your pad selections:
1052/54 (Black) Semi-Metallic
Consider the black an all-around pad.
Similar to original equipment, it is good for dry and wet weather
riding. It is great for an everyday rider or commuter who isn't too
aggressive. It has a progressive feel to it and is very consistent. It
is an extremely versatile compound build to suit most rider’s needs. The
1050 series is a semi--metallic carbon based compound made to hold
abrupt temperature changes as well as to work excellent in wet or dry
conditions. The semi-metallic fibers make this a very rotor friendly
compound; yet maintain a long lasting life.
HH 1370 Series (Gold) Sintered HH
advance ceramic compound
Made using advanced ceramics, the 1370 gold series pad is
for someone looking for a little more performance out in their braking
experience. It is great for all weather riding and requires no warm-up
time. Because of the ceramics, the pad is able to stay cooler with
little wear on rotors, and exhibits a consistent bite.
1532 (Green) Organic/Kevlar compound
Made using an organic/Kevlar compound, the 1532 series
has a great lever feel and very good braking power. It is a softer pad,
so it is very easy on rotors but exhibits a good bite. It can become
inconsistent in wet weather riding due to its porous nature. Due to the
soft compound it also isn't going to last as long. Nonetheless, it
remains one of our most popular compounds.
