Fitment for BMW R1200GS or GSA 2005 and up

Three heights and two different widths to choose from for a shield that suits your riding needs. This shield features the Euro design which provides a lower center for better vision while maintaining the best upper torso protection possible. We also incorporated a subtle reverse curve that pushes the air up and over the rider. The result is a nice pocket of clean air that reduces or eliminates the turbulent buffeting effects associated with the others. Our two inches wider version works well for most average sized riders. Our four inch version is designed for larger wider torsos or riders who want the maximum upper body protection.

Size Selection:

Suggested sizing is for most average body builds on stock seats. Riders caught in between sizes need to determine torso, posture, and neck considerations for best results. It is always better to be on the next shorter size if ordering dark gray as you must be able to clearly see over the shield.

  • 18" for most riders 5'7" to 5'10"
  • 20" for most riders 5’11" to 6’2"
  • 22" for most riders 6’3"


Note: The original BMW shield measures 17" high when measured from a straight line between the front lower mounting holes to the top center of the shield. Width measures about 16.5" wide just below the top of the shield.

Enhanced Support Bracket: The Enhanced Support Bracket provides much needed stability to accommodate a taller shield that works great for all riding conditions. This is a high quality replica made in USA to fit any GS or GSA model. Support brackets include hardware with complete instructions. (Replaces BMW #46637694395.)
 


Superior Strength Clamping Bolts: Clamping bolts are used for adjusting the shield's height, and the originals have been reported to break without warning so upgrade now & you'll be glad you did. This design is built to last a lifetime with fully threaded brass inserts. The extra long shaft makes installation and shield adjustment a breeze for any GS or GSA. Note that on the Enhanced Brackets the original clamping bolts may be too short, and the Superior Strength bolts will fit.

 


Headlight Guards: These guards protect your headlight from costly damage. Made of the same .150 acrylic as the shield, they take the impact of every-day road hazards that will crack or break a lens without warning. With new head lights costing hundreds of dollars we think these guards are inexpensive insurance. All guards are secured by 3M Dual Locks that separate the headlight from the guard allowing for easy removal for cleaning.
